Our newest collection was inspired by D.C. The city where I was born and raised. I've spent over 20 years living in this District and have been wanting to create this collection for quite sometime. Washington D.C. has changed so much, both good and bad. It's a love hate relationship but it will always hold a special place in my heart. I've visited many cities in the U.S. and D.C. is one of kind. There's so many things that make this city special!
I love the free museums, the diverse culture, and the amount of nature/parks you can visit so close to the city.
When I first started Winthrop Clothing Co in 2014, I designed this D.C. Flag print and created one of my first dog bow ties with the fabric:
